HIGHLAND BLOWS AWAY COMPETITION; Lewis County Golfers Compete at State
Fulton, MO – Missouri Girls’ State Golf has concluded, and a new state champion has been crowned. Eight teams and 90 individuals competed for a chance at the top. The Highland Lady Cougars claimed the team title despite tough conditions — battling high winds on both days.
Ava Hudson led the way for Highland, finishing 9th overall with a total score of 182, shooting a 97 on the first day and an 85 on the second.
Canton’s Raelyn Merida competed as an individual, finishing 36th out of 90 golfers. Merida shot a 109 on Day 1 and a 98 on Day 2 for a two-day total of 207.
