May 20th 2024 – Lewis County Commission

May 20, 2024 

The Commission met pursuant to order of adjournment on May 13, 2024, with Presiding Commissioner Wayne Murphy Jr., Associate Commissioners Travis Fleer, and Deanne Whiston present. When and where the following proceedings were had to wit: Commissioner Murphy called the meeting to order: 

Minutes: Commissioner Whiston made a motion to approve minutes for May 13, 2024. Commissioner Fleer seconded; Commissioner Murphy agreed. Approved 3-0. 

Payroll: Commissioner Murphy motioned to approve the payment of warrants #203364-203365 from General fund, warrants #203366-2033713 from Road & Bridge fund, warrants #203372 from Assessment fund, and warrant # from LEOF. Commissioner Whiston seconded; Commissioner Fleer agreed. Passed 3-0. 

Payroll: Commissioner Murphy motioned to approve the payment by EFTP of warrants #2820- 2835 from General fund, warrants #2836-2838 from Road & Bridge fund, warrants #2839-2840 from Assessment fund, and warrant #2841-2856 from LEOF fund. Commissioner Whiston seconded; Commissioner Fleer agreed. Approved 3-0. 

Bills: Commissioner Fleer motioned to approve the payments of warrants #31977-31984 from General Revenue, warrants #22209-22215 from Road & Bridge, warrants #5771-5773 from the Assessment, warrants #20957-20961 from L.E.O.F, and warrants #from Co Farm. Commissioner Whiston seconded; Commissioner Murphy agreed. Approved 3-0. 

Road & Bridge: Road and Bridge Supervisor Larry Janes and Secretary Colclough were present. Fixed was outs and tubes- #511, 513, 514, 424, 351, 322, 319, 224, 504, 373 

Hauled county rock 

Public paid rock- #479 Laws/Eichor 

Straitened, cleaned, and opened tube on – #273 Dan Kratchley 

Martin Equipment fixed A/C in the 2012 grader 

Hauled cemetery rock- 1 left 

Mower back from IMI 

Marked 2 tubes to be replaced on- #295 Durst and #211 Luttrell 

Robert Dodd’s time sheet for March 17th-30th needs to be paid- it was held by the Road & bridge supervisor because the employee needed to fill out required paperwork 

#224- dumpsters need moved- Road & bridge will write a letter to the company who owns the dumpsters and ask that they be moved 

Meetings: Clerk Sapp and Deputy Sly went to the Clerk’s Northeast Missouri regional meeting Friday May 17th 

Other Business: Devin McClain was in to work on the firewall and cyber security in the courthouse 

Deputy Sly submitted the leave balance report 

Clerk Sapp submitted the Inspection of Precinct Report to the commission 

Mapping Solutions sent the total credit report of $80.00 for the Online Partner Program Revenue Credit from 1-1-2023-12-31-2023 

Adjourn: Motion to adjourn to Tuesday, May 28, 2024, by Commissioner Murphy, Commissioner Fleer seconded; Commissioner Whiston agreed, passed 3-0.
