May 28, 2024
The Commission met pursuant to order of adjournment on May 20, 2024, with Presiding Commissioner Wayne Murphy Jr., and Associate Commissioners Travis Fleer and Deanne Whiston were present. When and where the following proceedings were had to wit: Commissioner Murphy called the meeting to order:
Minutes: Commissioner Whiston made a motion to approve minutes for May 13, 2024. Commissioner Fleer seconded; Commissioner Murphy agreed. Approved 3-0.
Payroll: Commissioner Whiston made a motion to approve timecards from May 12th-25th, Commissioner Fleer seconded; Commission Murphy agreed. Approved 3-0.
Bills: Commissioner Fleer motioned to approve the payments of warrants #31985-31996 from General Revenue, warrants # 22216-22222 from Road & Bridge, warrants #5774-5775 from the Assessment, warrants #20962-20968 from L.E.O.F, and warrants #from Co Farm. Commissioner Whiston seconded; Commissioner Murphy agreed. Approved 3-0.
Road & Bridge: Road and Bridge Supervisor Larry Janes and Secretary Colclough were present.
Kaitlyn Winship was in to discuss living on old 61 and wanting the road fixed- the commission told her they could not blacktop the road- they will have road and bridge look at it- the best the county could do is rock it
Secretary Colclough gave the commission a letter to sign addressed to Republic Services regarding dumpsters being on the county right of way especially concerning 250th street
Hauled county paid rock and bladed- #208, 219, 214, 211, 213, 226, 215, 222, 232, 322, 217
Replaced a tube on #211 right off of DD
Finished hauling cemetery rock
2007 Cat grader- Altorfer looked at the A/C mold board, turntable, and center pin were all worn out- Estimate of $8,300.00 to fix
Fixed hose on track hoe
Fixed bad spot on #524 school road, and hauled rock
Bladed #562 around Durham church and rocked
Martin equipment repaired the 2017 John Deere grader- the parking brake was stuck on and shorted out
Other Business: Assessor Logsdon in to discuss filing with the state ethics commission- she was concerned about a candidate not filing their pfd with the state ethics commission
Adjourn: Motion to adjourn to Monday, June 3, 2024, by Commissioner Murphy. Commissioner Fleer seconded; Commissioner Whiston agreed, passed 3-0.
