R4 Fire – April 2025 Meeting Minutes
MAYWOOD, MO– *Key notes from the most recently approved R-4 Fire Protection District board meeting held on April 7, 2026:
The board met at Station #2 in Maywood.
In old business, Truck 414 was reported as still leaking transmission fluid.
The minutes state a motion was made to start looking for a replacement for Truck 414, with Bryan Jennings planning to contact Troy Roberts to see if the leak can be fixed.
The minutes record David Keith abstained, and Tom Stark and Bryan Jennings voted yes.
Truck 413 will be moved to Station #2 until Truck 414 is fixed or replaced. The minutes also note Truck 418 has ABL parts and Truck 410’s ABL needs to be checked.
The board also approved paying Design It for Christmas hoodies.
In new business, mowing bids were opened for both stations and the board approved selecting Maywood Mowers.
The minutes record the motion was made by Bryan Jennings, Tom Stark voted yes, and David Keith abstained.
During officer reports, Riley Pryor reported the Christmas hoodies are in at Station #1, said he has tried for three or four new grants, and reminded members to respond on the radio when going to a call.
Dylan Waterman shared several upcoming training and event dates, including a storm spotter class on April 14, MOSWIN training on April 15, Fire Chief Association training on May 2, and the Maywood Fish Fry on April 25.
The board also approved Jordan Tournear’s request to rejoin the fire department.
The next regular monthly meeting is scheduled for May 5, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at Station #1 in Ewing.
