Cougars Celebrate Senior Night; Baseball Falls to Mark Twain

Lewistown, MO — The Highland Cougars celebrated senior night on the diamond. As Baseball and Track and Field seniors were honored for their contributions on and off the field. A total of seven seniors.

For Baseball, the Cougars honored Christopher Gaus and Gavin Sayres. For Track and Field, they honored seniors Christopher Gaus, Bailie Crist, Kylan McMann, Dade Self, Chevie Sharpe, and Maddox Wade.

Proceeding the events, the Baseball team would take on the Mark Twain Tigers. Falling to the Tigers 15-3. Playing a 4-1 game up until Mark Twain would add four in the fourth, and seven in the top of the seventh.

The Cougars fall to 3-11 on the season. The Cougars will go on the road for the Palmyra Cluster on Saturday, May 9, where they will take on the Palmyra Panthers (10 A.M.) and the Marceline Tigers (12:30 P.M.), as the Cougar season winds down. The Cougars will finish their homestand on Monday, taking on the Canton Tigers in the Lewis County Rivalry Game. Lastly they’ll finish the regular season on the Road against the Hannibal Pirates.
