Davis Career High Helps Road Sweep of Statesmen


Culver-Stockton traveled to Oskaloosa, Iowa as they took on the William Penn Statesmen. The Lady Wildcats and Wildcats would sweep the night as they would beat the Statesmen and move one game closer to the end of the season.

Women’s Game

Katie Webb Looks to Hopp before driving to the net

The Lady Wildcats would beat the Lady Statesmen 72-56. Katie Webb would put up 17 points as she brings her career total to 973 points. She now needs 27 points in eight games to reach 1,000. She would also add seven rebounds and one assist on the night. Olivia Hopp would put up 13 points, three rebounds, three assists. Misoran Nambara would end the night with 11 points, one rebound, and three assist.

Culver-Stockton now sits at 11-9 Overall 8-8 in conference. They will return home for a 3 game home stand against Park, Missouri Valley, and Clarke. The Wildcats continue to try and improve their seeding for conference tournament. They will play Park Saturday, February 1st at 2:00 P.M.

Men’s Game

The Wildcats would beat the William Penn Statesmen 90-79, as they dig’d out of a 39-37 deficit at halftime. Connor Davis would score 23 points in the second half to help outscore the Statesmen 53-40. Davis would end the night with a career high 41 points and bring down 11 rebounds. Tai Walters-Whitaker would put up 16 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. Martez Rhodes would tie with 16 points, one assist, and three rebounds.

The Wildcats would move to 4-16 overall, 4-12 overall. Coach Hobbs and his crew look to finish a injury riddled season as they go on a three game home skid with the Women’s team. Both teams have 8 games left on the regular season.
