Lahr and Renier Compete at QND Tournament
Quincy Notre Dame would open the doors for their wrestling invitational. Highlands Brodey Renier would compete in the 215 weight class. While Quincy Notre Dame’s Bradi Lahr would battle in the 150 weight class
Brodey Renier
Freshman Brodey Renier’s day would be a tough day. He would start the day against Anthony Beckman of Williamsville. Beckman would win by fall over Renier to send him to the consolation bracket.

Reiner would get a bye in the consolation as he would move immediatly to the quarter finals. He would face Oluwafemi Balogun of Chatham Glennwood. Renier would go the distance in the match however he Balogun would walk away with the win as the final score would sit 13-4.

Despite the short day. Brodey had really good performances on the day. Highland will meet on Tuesday at Kirksville. This will be their last meet before heading to Districts.
Bradi Lahr

Junior Bradi would start with a first round bye as he would meet with Quincy High School’s Blaine Mock in the quarterfinals. Lahr would win by technical fall in 1.5 round at the 2:00 mark. The final score 17-2 as he would move to the semifinals.

Lahr would take on Matthew Miller of Williamsville. Lahr would again win by technical fall as a score of 18-1 in the second round would send him to the championship match.

Bradi would meet with Jackson Carroll of Glasford (Illini Bluffs) as they compete for the 150 weight championship. Both wrestlers would go the distance to the end of the match. However Carroll would win with a score of 12-4. Lahr walks out of the tournament with second.

Quincy Notre Dame would leave with a team score of 95.5 points, as they end in 6th place.
Culver-Stockton Alumni Finds Success

Congratulations to former Culver-Stockton College Linebacker Dalton Huffman as he would coach the Palmyra Panthers to 3rd place with a team score of 145 points. He would have 10 wrestlers compete in the tournament.
