R-4 Fire Protection District Meeting Minutes

1. Preliminaries to Meeting 

1. Call the Meeting to Order. 

i. Tom Stark called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. 

2. Roll Call- Quorum Established 

i. Present is Dylan Waterman, Tom Stark, David and Gretchen Keith, Riley Pryor and Bryan Jennings; Quorum Established.. 

3. Motion to approve the agenda by David Keith and seconded by Bryan Jennings. 

2. Consent Agenda 

1. Approval of minutes to be made by Bryan Jennings and seconded by David Keith. 2. Approval of treasurer’s report given by Gretchen Keith; Motion made by David Keith and seconded by Bryan Jennings. 

3. Old Business 

1. Truck Maintenance: Truck 410 in Maywood, needs a tail light fixed. Truck 411 Pumper is out. 

4. New Business 

1. Air Vac is $75 per year per household and 60 for survival flight per year per household. David Keith made a motion to give the fire fighters air vac and survival flight, fire dept to pay for it. Bryan Jennings seconded the motion. Everyone has to be up to date and attend 12 meetings a year to qualify for coverage of the air vac and survival flight. June 18th bring information to sign up. 

2. Banner Fire Equipment was not present. 

5. Officers Report 

a. Dylan Waterman stated if fire dept. gets dispatched to 3881 Hwy P or in the vicinity the fire marshall is to be dispatched as soon as possible. 

b. Riley Pryor reported a blower on the Bobcat choke lever needs to be fixed. Also, remember to hang gear up when returning from fire, state Tom Stark.

6. Questions/Concerns/Comments- We need to check Batteries on all equipment. LaGrange Parade is July 4th, anyone interested in taking a truck? Fire trucks need to be at Durham for their fireworks display. 

7. Closed session Per statue 610.021 Section 3- None 

8. Regular Monthly meeting to be held on July 2nd, 2024 at 7pm at Station #1,Ewing, MO 9. Adjournment- motion to adjourn the meeting by Bryan Jennings, seconded David Keith. Meeting Adjourned 7:45 pm.
