Round One of the Tony Lenzini Tournament Finishes up.


The second night of the tournament would see four matches. With these four matches it brings an end to the first round. The Highland Lady Cougars would start the night against the Clark County Lady Indians. Afterwards the Canton Tigers would battle the Brookfield Bulldogs. Following that the Monroe City Lady Panthers would take on the Brookfield Lady Bulldogs. Finally the Monroe City Panthers would close the night against the Clark County Indians.

Highland Lady Cougars vs Clark County Lady Indians

For the third time this season the Highland Lady Cougars would beat the Clark County Lady Indians as they move on in the tournament. The cougars would lead the whole game as they take the win 55-26. Addy Abell and Kiera Rothweiler would lead the scoring as tied with fourteen points. Josie Murphy would put up ten. Meanwhile Clark Counties Sydnee Binsbacher would lead the whole board as she put up eighteen points on the night.

Canton Tigers vs Brookfield Bulldogs

Forty Points! Preston Brewer would lead the Canton offense dropping a career high forty points as the Tigers put away the Bulldogs 69-47. Following Preston was Tyler Frazier with eight points. Phoenix Jordan would lead the Bulldogs with twenty-one points followed by Hayden DeJong and Riley Hinckle with eight points. Canton will move on as they will take on the winner of the Monroe City and Clark County match.

Monroe City Lady Panthers vs Brookfield Lady Bulldogs

The Lady Panthers would beat the Bulldogs 59-35 as they will move on the meet the Highland Lady Cougars in the second round. Naaron Hays would lead the offense with nineteen points. Audri Youngblood would follow with ten. Meanwhile the Bulldogs would get led by Milee McCollum with fifteen points and Sam Sharp with six.

Monroe City Panthers vs Clark County Indians

Monroe City would sweep the night as they take down the Indians 54-33. They will move on to face the Canton Tigers. While the Indians will take on the Bulldogs on Thursday. Quincy Mayfield would lead Monroe City with fourteen points, he would be followed by Wyatt DeGrave with ten. Isaiah Hardin would lead the Indians with eight. He would be followed by Harrison Parker and Grayden Klein who both had seven.
