City of La Belle – November 2025 Minutes


CITY OF LABELLE
BOARD OF ALDERMAN
OPEN BUSINESS MEETING
NOVEMBER 11, 2025

The LaBelle Board of Aldermen met in open session on November 11, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.  Mayor Zachary Sharpe presided at the meeting. Mayor Sharpe declared that a quorum was present and called the meeting to order.

Aldermen Present:  Sam Wilson, Dee Raleigh, Roy Lewis, Kyle Clay, Linda Goodson and Colt Jennings.
 
Alderman Absent: None
 
City Personnel Present: Wayne Rudd, City Employees
 
Guests:
 
Others Present: None
 
Minutes:  No minutes were available at this time as both the city clerk and her assistant are ill.

Financial Reports:  The financial reports were reviewed.
 
Bills for Approval:  Bills for the month were presented and studied.  Alderman Kyle Clay
moved to pay all bills.  Alderman Sam Wilson seconded the motion. The motion passed with a vote of Aye-6, Nay-0.
 
Collector’s Report:  The City Collector’s Report was not available.
Unfinished Business:
 
Derelict Properties: Off season.
Sewer Project: Treatment facility is ongoing.
Water Project: Moving along well.
Sidewalks: No movement at this time.
Bike Shop: Still looking for an auctioneer.
New City Shed: Insulation- It was discussed to wait until next year for insulation this year.
Pay Wage Scale: The levels of pay wage scale were discussed. Colt handed out a new updated version. After discussion, Alderman Kyle Clay moved to accept the 6-year plan as the best fit.

Alderman Colt Jennings seconded the motion. The motion passed with a vote of Aye-5, Nay-0.
Alderman Roy Lewis abstained.
 New Business:
Employee Rewards: Employee awards were discussed for the year. After discussion Alderman
Kyle Clay moved to award as follows: Wayne Rudd, Wendy Lewis, and Josh Crandall shall receive $400.00 and Ottie Lewis will receive $300.00. Alderman Dee Raleigh seconded the motion. The motion passed with a vote of Aye-5, Nay-0. Alderman Roy Lewis abstained.
Mayor’s Report:
 
Mayor Sharpe gave a report on things happening in town. Brightspeed is working on new fiber through town. The Train Depot will be having their annual parade and soup supper on December 13 th .

Motion to adjourn:  Alderman Linda Goodson moved to adjourn the meeting and Alderman Dee Raleigh seconded the motion.  The motion passed with a vote of Aye-6, Nay-0.

Meeting adjourned at 9:15p.m.
