City of LaGrange, MO Council Meeting Minutes for January 8, 2024 – 5:30pm
Barry Pfister gave the opening prayer.
Mayor Bob Corbin called the meeting to order.
Roll Call: Councilmember Robyn Cottrell present, Councilmember James Dade present, Councilmember Carol Henze present, Councilmember Gail Kindhart present, Councilmember Barry Pfister present, and Councilmember Don Zahn present.
City Employees/Visitors: City Administrator John Roach present, City Clerk Kim Schneider present, City Attorney Jeff Curl present, Chief of Police Aaron Johnson present, Sergeant Jason Powell Present, Also present: Dave Blickhan.
Public Comments: Dave Blickhan asked if the City has revisited the option presented by Clark County Water District, to have water supplied by Clark County Water. Mayor and John stated that all options regarding PFAS are currently being looked at with City Engineer Mark Bross.

Motion by Councilmember Henze approve the consent agenda, motion second by Councilmember Zahn, motion carried 6 yes.
CITY ENGINEER REPORT – Mark submitted a report.
Action Item: Motion by Councilmember Dade to Authorize Mayor to sign Business Entity & Affidavit of Work Authorization, motion second by Councilmember Henze, motion carried 6 yes.
Action Item: Motion by Councilmember Zahn to Authorize Mayor to sign Anti-Lobbying EPA Fore, motion second by Councilmember Kindhart, motion carried 6 yes.
Action Item: Motion by Councilmember Kindhart to Authorize Mayor to sign Disclosure of Lobbying Activities, motion second by Councilmember Cottrell, motion carried 6 yes.
Action Item: Motion by Councilmember Henze to Authorize Mayor to sign SRF Debarment Form, motion second by Councilmember Zahn, motion carried 6 yes.

4th of July – Motion by Councilmember Zahn to have Feudin’ Hillbillys as entertainment for 4th of July 2024 at a cost of $5000, motion second by Councilmember Dade, motion carried 6 yes.
MO Lagers – Motion by Councilmember Zahn to have Jeff Curl draft an ordinance regarding a change in Lagers Retirement benefits effective 5/1/24, motion second by Councilmember Dade, motion carried 6 yes.

MOTION BY COUNCILMEMBER DADE TO GO INTO CLOSED SESSION UNDER STATE STATUTE 610.021, SUBSECTION (3) PERSONNEL, MOTION SECOND BY COUNCILMEMBER ZAHN, MOTION CARRIED WITH THE FOLLOWING ROLL CALL VOTE: COTTRELL YES, DADE YES, HENZE YES, KINDHART YES, PFISTER YES, ZAHN YES.
